Overview

Tyndale is seeking a Software Governance Manager to take ownership of our growing SaaS application ecosystem and help shape how technology is governed, managed, and scaled across the organization. This is a strategic, hands-on opportunity to build and mature our SaaS governance program while improving visibility, accountability, security, and cost management across our enterprise applications.

As a key partner across business teams, IT, Security, and Finance, you’ll establish standards for SaaS adoption and lifecycle management, strengthen identity and access practices, optimize licensing and spend, and reduce risks from shadow IT and redundant applications. You’ll have the opportunity to influence technology decisions and build the scalable processes needed to support Tyndale’s continued growth.

HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 1 day per week, and 4 days per week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our corporate headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County) or our location in Houston, TX (City Centre).

About Tyndale

We’re the leading distributor of innovative FRC solutions, and the largest industrial supplier of Carhartt FR, Ariat FR, and Wrangler FR clothing.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve Tyndale’s SaaS governance framework, establishing policies and lifecycle processes spanning application intake, approval, implementation, administration, renewal, and retirement.
  • Build and maintain a centralized SaaS inventory, providing visibility into application ownership, business purpose, data classification, integrations, licensing, and risk.
  • Lead the evaluation of new SaaS requests, assessing security, compliance, data protection, implementation complexity, integration needs, and ongoing support requirements.
  • Partner with IT Security and Infrastructure to ensure SaaS platforms meet enterprise standards for access control, data protection, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate the continued expansion of Single Sign-On (SSO) and establish SaaS administration best practices, including role-based access, user provisioning/deprovisioning, and appropriate account ownership.
  • Conduct ongoing SaaS audits to evaluate governance compliance, application ownership, administration practices, and license utilization.
  • Identify and address risks associated with shadow IT, redundant applications, unmanaged software, and underutilized licenses.
  • Partner with Finance to improve visibility into SaaS spend, optimize licensing, support vendor negotiations, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Establish clear business and technical ownership for SaaS platforms and drive accountability across stakeholders.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting that provide leadership with actionable insights into SaaS usage, spend, compliance, risk, and application portfolio health.
  • Create governance documentation, playbooks, and training materials, and support internal and external audits related to SaaS systems and access controls.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, balancing innovation and speed with security, governance, cost, and long-term scalability.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in IT governance, enterprise applications, SaaS management, or a related technology function; previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline required; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a directly related degree.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS ecosystems and application lifecycle management, including governance, administration, vendor management, and software licensing.
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management, including SSO, MFA, user provisioning, and role-based access controls.
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and technology risk practices, including frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI, and data privacy standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams to implement governance standards, improve processes, and drive accountability.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple systems and priorities.
  • Experience with SaaS management platforms such as Zylo or Torii, CASB solutions, IT spend optimization, vendor negotiations, or contract management is preferred.
  • Experience within eCommerce, retail, manufacturing, or distribution environments is preferred.
