Overview

Tyndale is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead 2nd shift operations (Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) at our North Houston Distribution Center. This hands-on leader will take ownership of the Inbound departments—Receiving, Returns, and Quality—while also serving as a backup for Outbound operations.  You’ll be responsible for driving day-to-day performance, ensuring safety and efficiency, and coaching a motivated team to deliver results. In this role, you’ll collaborate with operational leadership to optimize workflows, solve challenges in real time, and keep our DC running smoothly.  This is a great opportunity for a leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to leave their mark by building a strong team and continuously improving processes at a growing company.

The Tyndale Company is a private, 9x Top Workplace winner in PA and 4x winner in TX, and an industry leading national supplier of arc-rated flame-resistant clothing (FRC) to the energy sector – including utilities, oil and gas, transportation, chemical manufacturing, and NFPA 70E markets. We’re a family-owned business providing a retail-style apparel experience to hundreds of thousands of energy workers across the US and Canada. We’re the leading distributor of innovative FRC solutions, and the largest industrial supplier of Carhartt FR, Ariat FR, and Wrangler FR clothing.

  • Partner with the Warehouse Manager to ensure the appropriate count of members is available to perform anticipated workflow, including hiring of full-time staff and the use of part time, seasonal and temporary labor as needed.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, and onboarding new team members, providing hands-on guidance and oversight to ensure full understanding and adherence to departmental and company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Set clear performance goals for team members, provide consistent feedback and coaching, and deliver both annual and interim performance reviews to support professional growth and development.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize operations, enhance workflow efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Approve scheduled PTO; track attendance of staff and provide feedback and disciplinary action if/when required.
  • Foster a positive work culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate and monitor scheduled maintenance of warehouse equipment to ensure optimal performance and operational safety.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels of warehouse supplies—including boxes, tape, packing materials, and labels—to ensure uninterrupted operations and meet daily demand.
  • Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and members of other departments to resolve issues or assist with workload requirements as needed.
