Overview

The Tyndale Company, an 8x Top Workplace winner in PA and certified woman-owned business, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support the Accounting and Purchasing Departments by accurately processing vendor invoices, investigating discrepancies related to vendor statements, credit memos, and receivers, and ensuring timely resolution by coordinating with the appropriate parties. This position plays a vital role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring the integrity of our financial operations.

 

HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 1 day per week, and 4 days per week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our corporate headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County).

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounts payable tasks, including sorting and processing invoices from the AP mailbox, matching receivers, and vouchering vendor invoices and check requests.
  • Ensure accurate G/L coding and proper approvals for all vouchers prior to processing.
  • Review vendor statements regularly to verify all invoices and credit memos are accounted for.
  • Perform weekly reviews of pending receivers and invoices to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain vendor records, including 1099 information and sales/use tax documentation.
  • Calculate and record use tax accruals for accurate tax payments.
  • Investigate and track corrective actions for receiver discrepancies and vendor credit memos.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to resolve vendor issues, compiling and submitting necessary documentation.
  • Match invoices to checks during the payment process and file vendor invoices electronically in open payables.
  • Research and follow up on outstanding checks as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable required.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles;
  • High School Diploma Required; an Associate’s Degree in Accounting is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is preferred.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve invoice discrepancies efficiently.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting issues and implementing effective solutions with creativity and persistence.
  • Committed to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
