Tyndale is hiring a Full-Time Retail Store Associate for our Deer Park location. We are on the hunt for someone is smart, works hard, and gets things done!

Our newest Associate will provide top notch customer service to Tyndale’s retail customers by answering questions and providing recommendations regarding our FR and non-FR apparel.  They will ensure our customers are kept safe and that they’ve enjoyed a smooth retail shopping experience.  This opportunity requires an outgoing and team player attitude and someone who has flexibility to work Monday through Saturday afternoons; NO Sunday store hours required!

Responsibilities

  • Become a product knowledge expert, learning the specs of our technical FR/Non FR apparel;
  • Offer superior customer service to all customers;
  • Greet customers, build relationships and offer recommends on apparel selection;
  • Drive sales via up-selling techniques and recommend alternative products when necessary;
  • Display and replenish merchandise;
  • Perform routine store cleaning;
  • Unpack received shipments;
  • Handle cash flow;
  • Process payment transactions through Point of Sale system;
  • Follow all loss prevention procedures to minimize store shrinkage;
  • Perform other duties as assigned;

Qualifications

  • 1 year retail experience required;
  • Capable of handling cash flow and credit card transactions;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, peers and management;
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including morning, evening and Saturday availability;
  • Ability to learn technical components of products;
  • Adhere to Loss Prevention control and compliance procedures;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and integrity;
  • Ability to handle physical requirements to accomplish daily responsibilities;
  • Ability to lift minimum of 40lbs;
