This Director of Distribution will manage the daily operations of our Distribution Center including oversight of policy, procedure, and our Warehouse and Embellishments departments. This Director will work interdepartmentally, especially with Operations, to facilitate quick, accurate and efficient shipments to our customers. The Distribution Center is operational on multiple shifts.


  • Oversee and develop managers of the Embellishments and Warehouse departments;
  • Ensure proper staffing and training levels are met;
  • Coordinate the cross-training and sharing of members and workloads between departments during low and peak seasons;
  • Implement and manage metrics for evaluating performance by department and for the Distribution Center as a whole;
  • Work with the Safety Committee to ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
  • Coordinate with other department managers and staff;
  • Work with the Embellishments Manager to determine outsourcing needs and projections;
  • Communicate with VP Supply Chain on a daily/weekly basis to ensure cohesion between distribution center departments;
  • Complete budget and planning responsibility for all personnel, supplies, equipment and other costs for the distribution center;
  • Oversee the administration of the Warehouse Management system;
  • Oversee and monitor inventory control of finished goods, including receiving, storage, picking, shrinkage, damage, alterations and logo inventory. This includes continual cycle count process;
  • Conduct tours of the Distribution Center to existing and potential customers;
  • Working with Distribution center department managers to ensure proper maintenance is performed on all material handling equipment and production equipment;
  • Oversight of the Transportation function and Transportation Supervisor, which includes carrier negotiations, evaluation and selection.
  • Actively participate in Senior Management Planning Sessions, Director’s meetings, and other Company meetings as required;
  • Assess short term and long term objectives on a quarterly basis;
  • Perform capital improvement research for distribution center equipment.


  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, management, business, or a related field required;
  • Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) preferred;
  • Five to ten years’ management experience in a high-volume distribution environment required;
  • Logistics knowledge and experience required;
  • Computer skills including a strong knowledge of Word, Excel and warehouse management software required;
  • Experience with barcode technology and automated pick bin management preferred;
  • Background in apparel supply preferred;
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, a plus;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Detail oriented planning and organizational skills;
  • Strong negotiating skills;
  • Must have excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Must work well on a team and possess skill in managing supervisors;
  • Strong inter-personal skills.
