    Are you an HR Professional with a passion for employee benefits? Interested in working for an award winning and growing organization?  Benefits administration, payroll, and employee relations are the primary focus of Tyndale's Human Resources Generalist opportunity.  The HR Generalist works collaboratively as a member of the HR Team to support the company’s overall strategic vision and providing HR excellence.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinate benefit open enrollment processes including revisions of the benefits guide books with all details of the plans for the upcoming year, delivery of the open enrollment communications and training materials, claim resolution, and act as a subject matter expert for our Benefit Portal (bSwift).
    • Interface with benefits vendors to submit electronic eligibility files and resolve eligibility issues.
    • Monitor and manage leaves of absence (FML/STD/LTD) to ensure that reporting is current and accurate. Responsible for employee and vendor communication regarding leaves.
    • ADA compliance, partnering with managers on return to work/restricted duty situations, etc.
    • Interface with outside vendor service providers such as, COBRA, EAP, etc.
    • Serve as liaison between 401K record keeper, investment service provider, and company; provide information to employees about 401k eligibility, transfers, etc.
    • Submit and monitor worker’s compensation claims.
    • Process bi-weekly payroll.
    • Generates various ad-hoc reports for department (PPACA, OSHS, EEO-1, Vets 100, etc., as assigned)
    • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for employees; assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures, as assigned.
    • Assists in administering and managing the performance evaluation process including, assisting managers and supervisors with goal setting, and provide guidance to managers and supervisors on preparing and delivering reviews.
    • Serves as subject matter expert on HRMS and time tracking systems to managers and employees. 
    • Fund HSA/FSA contributions bi-weekly
    • Manage/Update/Maintain changes to HRMS; utilize write reports; configure system to fit benefit codes/ER match, etc.
    • Coordinate wellness initiatives including annual wellness fair and research/identify/recommend and implement wellness program additions and events.  

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration required. SHRM-CP and/or PHR and/or CEBS certification(s) preferred.  
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a full-time direct HR role with significant prior experience in employee benefits required; Prior experience in employee relations, performance management, and/or leave administration strongly preferred.
    • Solid knowledge of current federal and state employment law.
    • Strong customer service focus with a sense of urgency and excellent follow through.
    • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
    • Strong proficiency and prior experience with HRMS systems required; experience using Ultimate Software a plus, but not required.
    • Must be able to perform analytical tasks and be highly detail-oriented and meticulous about ensuring information produced is accurate.
    • Must be able to appropriately, discretely and effectively handle and communicate sensitive information and have a strong understanding of confidentiality.
    • Experience with creating and maintaining Affirmative Action Plans a plus.
    • Occasional travel to off-site locations, job fairs, and meetings may be required.
