  • Overview

    Tyndale Company, Inc. has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our talented IT team! The Quality Assurance Analyst will assist the Software Development team in delivering a quality product to end-users on a timely basis. They will also participate in major IT and company-wide initiatives.


    • Develop test cases that validate and ensure software development fulfills the intended functional requirements, both manual and automated/scripted tests;
    • Assist in deployment of software to test/QA environments, including verification of successful deployments;
    • Execute test cases and train others to perform test cases;
    • Track test case outcomes and report defects and solution design issues to the development team;
    • Triage issues from end users and verify they can be recreated. Work with the development team to recreate the issue in a test environment and assist in the diagnosis of root cause and relevant variables;
    • Regularly use independent judgement to evaluate end users concerns and the business impact of bugs and enhancements; in order to collaborate with IT management on which are most important to work on next;
    • Communicate with various internal Tyndale departments to resolve issues and assist with rolling out new functionality;
    • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing, ensuring the subject matter experts understand the functionality being delivered;
    • Help build specifications for developers to use for their work based on how applications are actually used by the end users;
    • Use discretion and expert domain knowledge to provide feedback to developers on the user interfaces;
    • Guide the developers on the Tyndale business workflow and business operations procedures;
    • Use discretion and expert domain knowledge within change management process to approve/deny application changes to production.


    • HS Diploma or equivalent required; BA/BS degree preferred;
    • Knowledge of Tyndale products and processes preferred;
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, bug tracking software, and automated testing tools a plus, but not required;
    • Ability to build rapport with internal and external customers;
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
    • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively; strong time-management skills;
    • Possess strong sense of urgency;
    • Excellent organizational skills;
    • Detail oriented and maintain a high level of accuracy in their work;
    • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
