    Tyndale has an exciting full time opportunity for a Receptionist to join the Tyndale Family at our Houston Distribution Center! The Receptionist will be the first face our visitors and vendors see as they arrive to our Distribution Center. They will be responsible for answering phones, providing general hospitality support, and sorting and sending mail in addition to several other important tasks. 

    Responsibilities

    • Answer all incoming operator calls and direct to the appropriate destination;
    • Greet all visitors and vendors and notify employees that their guests have arrived;
    • Ensure the reception & conference areas are kept orderly and clean;
    • Provide hospitality and meeting support as needed (scheduling conference rooms, coordinating food orders and other logistics etc.);
    • Stamp all outgoing mail, take mail to the mailbox and collect incoming mail;
    • Sort all incoming mail and distribute to the appropriate individuals;
    • Manage petty cash account;
    • Mail all requests for UPS labels and return forms;
    • Review supply inventory weekly and order additional supplies when needed;
    • Assist the director with production reports including proper and timely distribution;
    • Work with team members well and communicate with them effectively.

    Qualifications

    • HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred;
    • Fluency in both Spanish and English strongly preferred;
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
    • Works well with team members and is personable, helpful and friendly;
    • Solid intermediate level computer knowledge - Microsoft Office Suite - / Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Reader;
    • Proficiency with placing orders, taking phone calls, typing, and communicating by email;
    • Previous experience working in an office environment required;
    • Strong multitasking skills and a the ability to effectively prioritize work daily work assignments;
    • Strong attention to detail required;
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
    • Strong organizational skills;
    • Ability to work overtime as needed.
