Overview

Tyndale has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Accounts Receivable Billing Specialist to join our AR Department.  In this role, you will be responsible for providing client support, billing & reporting for specified accounts, in addition to being the point person in identifying and escalating billing problems for assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

    • Maintain client’s aging at their current terms through pro-active collection activities;
    • Assist customers with invoice questions, reporting, corrections, and write offs as needed. If an action is required, backup should be compiled and graduated for review and processing;
    • Work with the appropriate Account Manager and/or Account Admin to resolve customer service issues discovered during the invoicing and collection process.
    • Invoice customer’s on-line utilizing designated websites.
    • Maintain client Purchase Orders and credit cards by National Account, Division, Location, Department or Employee levels.
    • Update customer maintenance with current client contact information for invoice remittance and follow-up.
    • Ensure billing cycles are handled efficiently and accurately;
    • Keep AR tracking database current with relevant client information, collection and billing progress and program changes;
    • Perform additional duties and assignments needed to help the Invoice Specialists.

Qualifications

    • High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
    • 1 year of prior billing experience preferred;
    • Basic competency of MS Excel, including the ability to filter data and manage a filtered list, and use the mathematical functions;
    • Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy;
    • Computer skills-proficient in MS Office, and accounting software experience preferred;
    • Proficient verbal and written communication skills;
    • Ability to succeed in stressful situations;
    • Strong organizational skills;
    • Ability to succeed with self-direct work flow;
    • Action-orientation and a sense of urgency;
    • Ability to learn quickly;
    • Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to change;
