Purpose of Position:

Facilitate the customer return process by verifying, labeling, and processing incoming returns following Tyndale’s return procedure. Verify, label and process incoming returns as per returns process. Communicate consistently with customer service, supervisor, manager, and alterations department. Ensure customers receive a credit or replacement order.


Accountabilities and Job Activities:

  • Open returned packages and determine the status of the return (accept or reject).
  • Prepare paperwork to send to office for final processing of returns.
  • Handle the return of first quality garments to inventory for resale.
  • Process paperwork for returned items that are defective, need alteration or repair, require stock adjustments, etc.
  • Follow established guidelines and standards and use good judgment to determine if a garment needs special handling and/or is not eligible for restock.
  • Communicate as necessary with the Customer Service and Sales departments when issues or questions arise with customer returns.
  • Perform picking, stocking, and other warehouse activities as assigned by the warehouse supervisor and manager.



  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of Tyndale products and part numbers - 6 months experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with MAS500 system is a plus.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Warehouse environment with fluctuations in temperature.
  • Must be able to walk and/or stand for long periods of time.
  • Occasional lifting of boxes up to 40lbs.
