Are you innovative, analytical, and have strong management skills? If so, Tyndale has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Warehouse Manager to join our Houston Operations Department. In this role, you will be responsible for the general supervision and oversight of the warehouse activities, including picking, shipping, receiving, and returns. You will also be responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency, and overall success of the warehouse staff.

  • Manage a staff of 10-20 associates, 1 supervisor, and temporary seasonal staff.
  • Assign and deploy staff and other resources to meet daily operational objectives.
  • Oversee the daily printing of the allocation and other operations reports (CrossDock) to meet the daily needs of the Distribution Center (DC).
  • Monitor backlogs and evaluate DC operational status to initiate, take appropriate action, and execute on priorities and areas of greatest need.
  • Ensure proper training, discipline, and utilization of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other systems procedures and processes are maintained.
  • Extensive daily utilization of space, power equipment, and other physical resources to maximize efficiency and performance.
  • Monitor compliance to corporate safety and security policies.
  • Maintain oversight of all department operating supplies.
  • Perform annual reviews, develop the department budget, and other projects and duties as assigned.
  • Maintain and acquire knowledge of material handling and technology improvements, trends, and opportunities that may be practical for Tyndale warehouse operations.
  • Analyze performance to established labor standards and review work processes for improvement standards.


  • BS Degree required, with a Logistics major preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of Logistics or Warehouse Management.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience managing a large staff.
  • Familiarity and experience with WMS (including hand-held scanners) preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Effective problem solving and leadership skills required.
  • Ability to operate (or basic knowledge of) powered material handling equipment required.
  • Computer literate with a minimum of basic proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and Word required.
