The Human Resources (HR) Assistant will have the opportunity to help support the delivery of HR excellence to the organization. They will carry out programs and processes in compliance, recruiting and staffing, benefits, training and development, and safety and wellness. Working alongside the HR Generalists and VP of HR to execute projects and events is a key element of this position.


  • Recruiting & Staffing. This includes posting jobs based on the established recruiting strategy, conducting onsite testing of our applicants, giving tours of our facilities to prospective candidates, generate offer letters and coordinating background check process, assist with new hire paperwork, and track applicants using our ATS platform.
  • Compliance & Recordkeeping. Maintain all personnel files, conducting periodic audits of personnel files and interview notes. This also includes maintaining I-9 forms and employment law posters.
  • Responsible for coordinating the Tyndale Academy training schedule (in-house corporate training program), maintaining the course catalog in our HRMS while maintaining employee attendance for those trainings. Assist with the coordination of the Job Shadowing program, a seasonal opportunity for employees to learn other areas of the business.
  • HR Management System. Serve as a back-up technical resource for managers and their employees with HRMS and time clock systems, and security systems. Maintain employee database information in HRMS, creating ID badges for new employees and running employee reports as requested.
  • Safety & Wellness. Assist HR Generalist with the coordination of Tyndale’s Annual employee wellness fair, and other wellness initiative events and programs throughout the year. Have the opportunity to coordinate the weekly healthy snack order, including delivery and distribution for all employees company-wide (PA & TX).
  • Employee Relations. Assist HR Generalist with coordinating annual ‘Bring your Child to Work Day’ event, employee communication meetings, and special events. Track and maintain certificates awarded to winners of our Tyndale Golden Service recognition program. Populate and track employee performance reviews in HRMS, and serve as technical resource to managers of performance management software.
  • Benefits Administration. Coordinate open enrollment meetings for employee communication, and bi-annual 401k employee meetings with our benefits brokers. Responsible for preparing and mailing FMLA paperwork to employees, as needed.
  • General Department Duties. This position will assume duties of ordering supplies, sending flowers, cards, etc. on behalf of the company, preparing expense reports for VP, and various other administrative support duties.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned by VP of Human Resources.


  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills are a key requirement of this position.
  • Strong computer literacy required; proficiency at the intermediate level in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Outlook preferred;
  • BA/BS degree in Human Resource Management, I/O Psychology, or a related degree required. Prior internship experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience with a HRMS is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information is required;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong time management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks;
  • Should possess basic understanding and knowledge in human resources functional areas;
  • Must have ability to work effectively as part of a team and be collaborative;
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, possess a sense of urgency, work within short time frames and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter and detailed oriented; Able to work independently.
